Doguesser Play

Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 September 2026

Doguesser is a browser game with no accounts and no adverts. It does measure how many people visit, and this page explains exactly how, what is stored, and how to change your mind.

Cookies and your choice

The first time you arrive, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing analytical is stored until you press Accept: the site loads with Google’s consent mode set to denied, so no analytics cookie is written while you decide, and none is written at all if you reject.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<id>. They hold a randomly generated number that lets Google tell one browser from another, so a person who visits three pages isn’t counted as three people. They expire after two years.

You can change your answer at any time: . Clearing your browser’s site data also erases the choice and the cookies.

Analytics

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4. With your consent, Google receives your IP address, the pages you open, roughly where you are (country and city level), your device type, browser and language, and which site referred you. Google shortens IP addresses and does not report them back to us. We see only aggregated totals and never anything that identifies you.

We use this to know which pages are worth writing more of. Nothing is sold, and no advertising or remarketing tags are installed: the consent mode defaults on every page keep ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied regardless of what you press.

What is stored on your device

Separately from analytics, the game uses your browser’s local storage. This is not a cookie, is never transmitted, and works whether or not you accept the banner:

Clearing your browser’s site data deletes all of it and resets your streak and collection. There is no way for us to recover or view it.

Third-party services the page contacts

Loading the site makes requests to a handful of external services. Each receives your IP address as an unavoidable part of any web request, and each has its own privacy policy:

Legal basis and your rights

Analytics cookies are used on the basis of your consent under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI). Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, using the button above.

You have the right to access, correct, erase or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it. Because we hold no account and no identifiers of our own, requests concerning analytics data are best directed to Google, whose privacy policy covers that processing. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD.

Analytics data is retained by Google for the period configured on the property, after which it is deleted automatically.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages. We collect no personal information from anyone, including children, beyond the aggregate measurement described above.

External links

The footer links to an Instagram profile and a Buy Me a Coffee page. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control.
